I like these but do wish they had more warmth. It seems the trend these days that thermal tights get thinner and thinner. They are warm though and good for 30-40s F depending on the wind. My only real complaint is Pearl Izumi in general sizing. In almost every other brand of cycling clothing, especially pro series, and foreign brands I wear a medium or more often than not a large. In PI these days I now have to wear a small in tights and still at a medium for tops. The only other brand similar in sizing down for me is Endura, which is also a great brand. I do like these and will give lots of use but the sizing is annoying. The bottom of the legs is too wide for me too so it does not sit snug to my calf, also somewhat annoying in a pro series product. I usually like compression from my tights. Not a lot but at least a decent amount. I am 5'8", about 165 lbs, and athletic/thicker build at 41 years of age. I suggest ordering down a size in PI these days if you like a snug fit. I have not tried the pursuit line which might fit differently as it is for performance so keep that in mind. Only bought regular and escape line products. Otherwise, quality stuff and pad on the Pro is comfortable.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
