I had stopped at a bike and they told me I would love bib bike shorts. These are very comfortable to ride in.

  • Pearl Izumi Select bibs
Verified Buyer Reviewed by NA from NA on Monday, September 17, 2018
I do prefer wearing bibs over traditional bike shorts.
Seem true to size - I typically get a medium and these fit just fine.
The material is actually quite nice.
The only negative - the chamois is good and certainly adequate for a 3-5 hour ride. On my longer rides (100 miles or more) I still prefer a better chamois. For comparison - I prefer my Sugoi top of the line bibs (can't remember the exact style.)

  • Pretty good
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Amateur Kayaker from Steamboat Springs on Monday, August 6, 2018
These are well built and a great deal. The chamois is great. They work. Two complaints: 1) there's a white stripe and a huge Pearl Izumi logo on the side. I don't like that. I wish it had been depicted more clearly. You'd hardly know from the photo. It is not like the green one depicted in the side view. Second, the sizing chart is slightly off, imho. I'm a 33.5 waist; I should have gotten the large (which chart says begins at 34.5). The waist is fine, but the thigh/crotch/waist height and resulting fit is a bit snug for my taste. I won't return them; they've stretched a bit after a couple of rides, but if you're normally a large, get a large and ignore the size chart. I'm happy enough, but this is a deal bib not a best-quality bib.
  • Great Bibs for the Money

I've been on two rides with these bibs so far and they feel great! Sizes are true and chamois is very comfortable - no binding. I only wear bibs and these are probably the most comfortable ones I have. A great value.

Excellent Pearl Izumi Quality - XL fit me pretty good. (36-38 waist)

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
