Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Great shoe!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Amanda from North Carolina on Thursday, August 2, 2018Great shoe and very well made/constructed! I ordered a 41 b/c I'm an 8 1/2 in women's. These fit great! All this being said, I would love to have a small instruction insert on how to install my cleats. These are a bit different than my last several pairs of bike shoes which were pretty straight forward and came with cleat installation instructions. I certainly don't want to tear up my cool new shoes trying to install the cleats. I have also searched online for installation of cleats on this particular shoe and haven't had any luck so far.
That's why I have rated them not quite a 5 star.
Great enduro shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Eagle Dad from San Diego, CA on Friday, September 16, 2016These were designed for endures but I use them for regular MTB riding. I find them so comfortable that I have three pairs of these shoes. Also, because I got them for really cheap prices. They run a little on the small side (Pearl Izumi shoes run small generally). Good quality materials and craftsmanship, as usual from PI (owned by Shimano nowadays). I'm pretty easy on shoes so I don't know about any durability issues with these shoes. They are much more comfortable than my other MTB shoes. The toes bend so walking is not a problem. I also have carbon-soled MTB shoes and you can't walk with those. I have a pair of these in black that I'll be using for gravel grinding on Shimano SPDs. My other two pairs are set up for Time ATAC pedals/cleats.
Awesome shoes!!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by outdoor lover from colorado on Monday, March 21, 2016I bought these for something to ride in that's not clip style, and something more rigid than running shoes!! they work flawless I love them, very light and very rigid, make you feel very confident in the pedals. Would buy again in a minute....
Very Comfortable cycling shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Julio DeLeon from Gaithersburg, MD on Friday, February 26, 2016I normally have a really hard time finding cycling shoes that fit my wide feet properly. a bike shop recommended I try some Pearl Izumis and sold me another pair that fit well. I found these and they looked a bit more "road bike" style so I wasn't sure if they'd be as comfortable with my previous pair. I am happy to announce I was quite mistaken! These shoes are very VERY comfortable. I got them a size larger (48 vs 47) and they fit my 12w feet perfectly. I wore them almost an entire day breaking them in. Adjustments are easy to do with the ratcheting lock and velcro.
Great for my useVerified Buyer Reviewed by GTS from Colorado on Saturday, June 27, 2015Good solid shoe. I've used them 3 times and they're comfortable but stiff enough to feel like you get good power transfer. Rated a 4 instead of 5 because the ratcheting buckle just feels fragile, time will tell if that's the case.
Great value but right in the toesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ash from NY on Thursday, June 25, 2015These are reasonably priced a fit well, I am a U.S. Size 10 and these are true to size. The shoes are narrow but that's true of Most biking shoes. I bought these because they look closer to a road shoe, which is what I am using them for
I love these shoesReviewed by 1Yotee from Syracuse, NY on Wednesday, May 13, 2015Needed to step up from my 10 year old Specialized Mountain Pro shoes and saw these. Great fit out of the box. 30 miles first ride with them and didn't want to take them off. I use them to commute and leave them on sometimes as I forget to change. Very comfy and yet perfect snug fit for power transfer. The bottoms make the cleat disappear when walking, much better than my old shoes. One more time - seriously comfy shoes.
Runs Small like all PI shoes doVerified Buyer Reviewed by PI shoe buyer from Michigan on Tuesday, March 31, 2015Great shoes, but run narrow and small like all prior PI shoes I've bought - this is no exception. I run a US 10 shoe size forever in every brand of shoe I buy and no way here - too narrow and too cramped in the toes...returned 10's then 11 was perfect with medium thick riding sock. Good shoe finally with a rubber shoe sole so you can walk and climb on trial if needed. Also running these with platforms in winter - works well.
Great first impressionVerified Buyer Reviewed by Brewerbiker from Central KY on Monday, March 16, 2015Haven't used yet, but feel and fit great and seem well made and stiff. Good price and fast service, as usual.
four stars now, maybe more later.
