Love these MTB shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by sjaustin from Austin, TX on Monday, July 2, 2018I have a very narrow foot and ankle an these shoes work with my orthotic and the BOA system gets them snug around my foot. Pearl Izumi's run small compared to other brands so I ordered a size 41 for my size 8 feet.
Great MTB shoe!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Lori from California on Wednesday, June 27, 2018This is a beautiful MTB shoe, firm and comfortable fit. Easy and quick lace and Velcro system.
As with all sports shoes, order at least a half size larger than street shoes.
Great cycling (spin class) shoes!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ashley from Rhode Island on Tuesday, May 15, 2018This are great shoes and I could really feel the difference in my power transfer throughout the class with these vs sneakers vs sneaker like PI mountain bike shoes (I had also purchased). With the boc lace system vs regular laces you get a nice solid tightness across forefoot and the semi-custom insole is great! You can feel the difference and that’s a good thing! I almost returned these without testing because I got a killer deal on the PI sneaker like cycling shoes but thought I should at least test them out first and after wearing, these are going NOWHERE! There are two very important things to remember if you plan on purchasing these:
1. PI shoes tend to run small- I am a solid 9.5 us / 41 euro and with both pairs of Pearl Izumi (PI) shoes I purchased a 42 which was the correct thing to do. I suggest you go up too.
2. If your new to cycling shoes REMINDER- these are shoes ONLY you HAVE to purchase cleats separately. These take spd cleats.
I would absolutely recommend and seriously who can beat that price?
ExcellentVerified Buyer Reviewed by Wannabe Ski Bum from Utah on Wednesday, May 9, 2018Fits true to size. MANY options to customize the fit. Fantastic value.
Great shoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by Michelle from Michigan on Monday, May 7, 2018Runs small, so order 1-2 sizes up... my birkenstocks are 41, these are 43. Love the options for adjustability and come with directions for arthritic insert adjusts!
Sizing offVerified Buyer Reviewed by Angela S. from Naples NY on Thursday, November 16, 2017Looks like great shoes however the sizing is way off. I'm normally a 39 and ordered one size up, 40. the 40 was still too small.
Nice ShoeVerified Buyer Reviewed by KCE from Virginia on Wednesday, October 25, 2017Nice shoe, almost like road shoe. I usually wear 71/2 in street shoe. I ordered an 8, toes all the way to the end of shoe box. I had to return for size 8 1/2. Now plenty of room for the toes.
Great shoes for the priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by LizzieBri from Chattanooga on Friday, October 6, 2017These were my first MTB shoes with boa dials, and I’m pretty impressed so far. Between the dial up fit and the custom arch supports, my shoe fits like a glove. That being said, it is definitely made for someone with a narrow foot. I’ve got long narrow feet and I still felt a bit snug in the beginning, but after adjusting my inserts a bit, things seem better for now. The shoes are lightweight, breathable and perfectly black, just the way I like them. I’d definitely recommend these shoes and would totally buy them again, as long as they hold up to the test of time.
"Running" errands while bikingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Pedaling for Deals from Wisconsin on Saturday, July 22, 2017The Pearl Izumi X-Project 2.0 mountain bike shoes make biking more efficient and walking safely with cleated shoes possible.
Happy feetVerified Buyer Reviewed by Vickiep7879 from Illinois on Wednesday, June 28, 2017I had some old MTB shoes that had some laces. My feet were swelling the longer I was riding my bike. I went online and did some research and found these lovely gems. Not only they are much lighter, my feet felt great. The awesome design of the shoe gave my feet much more room to move and they didn't hurt.
