I miss the big selection Pendleton on STP. Great quality in career wear - Seems to be disappearing with the new ownership. I finally snapped this one up after looking a while. It's beautiful, doesn't itch and matches tons in my closet. It's flattering. Only down side (and it is a pencil skirt) is it tapers in at the knee making a full stride a challenge.

I'm always cautious about Pendleton clothes because I frequently find them a bit dowdy. This skirt is simple and polished with a little interest but not overly 'Western', and it fits nicely, not frumpy at all. Definitely a pencil skirt, not straight cut like it looks in the picture

Absolutely agree with the previous reviewer "Couldn't tell what color the houndstooth check were until arrived in home; they are navy with cream background"
Great quality and a very comfortable fit.

Skip the cord jacket and get a sweater or blazer for balance and longer look. Waistband was contoured and comfortable, np pinch narrow type. Tapered in at the knees so don't plan to run anywhere fast.

About Pendleton

The history of Pendleton blankets dates back to the mid-19th century, when a young man named Thomas Kay travelled west to Oregon and opened a mill in Salem. Kay’s grandchildren eventually went on to establish a mill in Pendleton, Oregon, which crafted blankets and robes for American Indians living in the region, including the Nez Perce, Navajo and Hopi nations. By the early 20th century, the Pendleton clothing line was expanded to include suiting and apparel, including the now legendary Pendleton virgin wool shirt. Today, this renowned American brand owns and operates seven manufacturing facilities as well as 75 Pendleton retail stores.
