It's lovely except for the FAKE pockets. C'mon!

Seems to run true-to-size for me. Very high quality coat, for a fraction of its retail price. Nice lines, beautiful fabric, doesn't swallow me up, and the hood is great for when snow or a bit of winter rain arrives. Very pleased.

I loved how heavy and warm this coast was. However, I purchased a size 2 and yet would have had to be 8months pregnant to fit into this coat! A size 2 fits like a size 12. Something is wrong here!

I was searching all over for a long, stylish, and WARM winter coat, and I had a pretty specific idea in mind for what I wanted. In particular, I wanted one with a hood because I often let my hair air-dry, and a hood keeps my noggin warmer on winter mornings without smooshing my still-wet hair under a hat. This checks all of my must-have features: hood, heavy weight / warm, slanted (and deep!) side pockets, and a stylish silhouette that doesn't make me look like a marshmallow. I do wish it came in other colors, but I was okay with black since this fit all my other criteria. For size reference, I'm just under 5'4" with a short torso and long legs, and the bottom hem hits just under my knee. Although I typically wear a size 4 in pants and small or medium in tops, I ordered the size 8 because I wanted to make sure the sleeves were long enough to cover my wrists and the shoulders were not too tight. I probably could've worn the size 6, but I like to wear heavy sweaters in the winter, so the size 8 should be perfect for that. Hopefully the stitching holds up with time, but it is heavy and feels well-made, so I'm optimisitic!

About Pendleton

The history of Pendleton blankets dates back to the mid-19th century, when a young man named Thomas Kay travelled west to Oregon and opened a mill in Salem. Kay’s grandchildren eventually went on to establish a mill in Pendleton, Oregon, which crafted blankets and robes for American Indians living in the region, including the Nez Perce, Navajo and Hopi nations. By the early 20th century, the Pendleton clothing line was expanded to include suiting and apparel, including the now legendary Pendleton virgin wool shirt. Today, this renowned American brand owns and operates seven manufacturing facilities as well as 75 Pendleton retail stores.
