It was true to size and fit well, but the pattern just didn't work for me. With my pale skin and my swimmer shoulders, the color washed me out and the pattern made my shoulders look huge. The dress was very flattering for my body, and it is comfortable. It is dressy enough to wear out to a party or an event. The v neck seemed a bit low for me so I had to were a camisole under it. The wrap around skirt flapped open a bit, it might be a good idea to pin it or just make sure you are holding the skirt closed when walking up stairs. I liked it because it was soft and fit nicely, it did not feel I needed to wear leggings with this dress.

I wear size 10 on top, 12 on bottom and got the Medium. The top cross over is a little low for my comfort level in the office, so I wear a camisole under it. The bottom wrap part can flap open in a strong breeze, but never with just brisk walking inside. It rolls up beautifully for traveling and doesn't wrinkle. I like it a lot.

Unfortunately my body shape had changed to where the style from Pendleton did not look good on me. The dress was lovely, well made and everything I'd expect from Pendleton. Also the green in the dress clashed with my olive skin tones, so with a thick waste, and olive skin, I had to say no to this pretty dress.

If it was a solid color, or brighter, I would have kept this dress hands down. Something to note (at least on me): I'm 5'4, 130 pounds, got the medium in petite, it hit just above my knee (perfect!), but the overlapped fabric on the skirt part would flip over to show the white underside of the fabric when I walked.

I liked the dress OK but realized I didn't really need it. The low cut shows cleavage, which might be a good or bad thing, depending on what you want.

About Pendleton

The history of Pendleton blankets dates back to the mid-19th century, when a young man named Thomas Kay travelled west to Oregon and opened a mill in Salem. Kay’s grandchildren eventually went on to establish a mill in Pendleton, Oregon, which crafted blankets and robes for American Indians living in the region, including the Nez Perce, Navajo and Hopi nations. By the early 20th century, the Pendleton clothing line was expanded to include suiting and apparel, including the now legendary Pendleton virgin wool shirt. Today, this renowned American brand owns and operates seven manufacturing facilities as well as 75 Pendleton retail stores.
