Verified Buyer Reviewed by Fritz from North Texas on Friday, March 20, 2015Seems to be as well constructed as vests I've had from Filson; maybe this one is even better: more practical. I wouldn't hesitate to wear it while completing outdoor construction projects or any project that might get a little messy.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by tom from WA on Saturday, December 27, 2014i like this vest. its well made with a british label. im not sure why the zipper is on the opposite side unlike all coats ive ever had. maybe its a british thing. it is good looking and well made.
Reviewed by N W from Connecticut on Thursday, January 9, 2014Like other Peregrine products, this vest is high quality with a classic design. I ordered my normal size, a medium, and it's slightly loose in the stomach, but I suppose it would make layering a little easier. There's no picture to show it, but back of the vest falls slightly lower than the front, which could be nice if you needed to sit on a damp seat or something.
Reviewed by Delmerkin from Massachusetts on Thursday, March 14, 2013This English vest is simple with no frills - yet well made. Because it it made of a waxed cotton, it's not a vest you'd wear around the house or wear while relaxing in front of a fire. It's simply too stiff and unforgiving. However it's fine for going out for a brisk walk in the countryside on a cool, breezy morning. You will want to stand up straight in this vest. Also, why don't the British catch up to the rest of civilized society and use right handed zippers (for men), leaving left handed zippers for the women?
If you are used to the softness of the typical plush synthetic material we all have been wearing , this vest may not be for you. But if your walk in the woods includes brushing up against occasional brambles, this will suit you just fine.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by NWMama from Bellingham WA on Thursday, December 13, 2012This was purchased for my husband and unfortunately needed to be returned as it was way too large. This was a medium and could have been a large or even an extra large. I am certain that the small (if available) would also be too large. Otherwise a very nice product!
