Verified Buyer Reviewed by Not warm from Indiana on Monday, December 22, 2014The dog loved this toy last Christmas (she likes food) so I am replacing it with two more, because, in her enthusiasm and efforts to get our attention, she would pick it up by the rope and slam it down on the floor, and eventually she cracked the bottom so that it would not stay screwed shut. The top part and rope held up fine. Hence, four stars instead of five, and this order (got two this time) is to replace the one she crunched. It seems like these are larger, but I may not remember the old one that well.
Reviewed by frontierjeanne from Alaska on Friday, October 31, 2014I have both black and yellow labs, ages 6 and 2.5 respectively. This toy is way too complicated for the younger dog... he's not that smart. My older girl, however, considers this to be a challenge, and while highly food motivated, she also has a longer attention span, enough at least to get some of the treats out before losing interest. She's not easily entertained, however, and short of eviscerating stuffed animals, toys are hard to find for her, so I consider this one to be a success. For higher energy dogs, or at least those with an attention span and delayed reward drive, this can be a great toy. Very durable, thick acrylic of some kind. Easy access for filling (important! Not all toys are!). Noisy on hard floors, but fine on a rug. If your dog plays rough and wild, I'd advise that you use this outdoors. If the dogs swings it by the rope, the bottle can pack quite a punch! My lab just lays down with it and works the rope to access the treats!

Reviewed by Bernermama from Colorado on Wednesday, September 10, 2014This is the fourth one we are buying for our Bernese Mtn Dog. My husband puts small kibble in it, hides the jug somewhere in the house and she runs around until she finds it and takes it outside to shake and knock around. When the cord wears out/gets too dirty, we remove it and put a tennis ball in its place. She loves this jug so much that we have to bring it with us when we travel. We originally learned about it from a friend whose Golden Retriever was crazy about hers. It seems to be a toy that the dogs either love or have no interest in it. Our dog is extremely food oriented, loves food toys, and needs to be stimulated/challenged when she eats. This slows down her eating. Also, she loves to find and bring it inside for another treat. It is a job for her and Berners like to work. This is a fantastic price if you are thinking about trying it.
