  • Quick boiling versatile unit
Reviewed by T.J. B from Oregon on Thursday, June 7, 2018
This is a sweet, high quality integrated pot stove from the makers of the original primus stove back in 1892. I like that it has a piezo lighter, hanging lanyard, and even comes with a variable sized fuel canister tripod for uneven surfaces. This unit burns hot and boils fast, but w/o a good adjustment on flame, it might not be the best for general cooking. I mostly use it for my mountain house meals and coffee; which it's perfect for.
My only gripe is the pour spout on the lid is a little funky. Sometimes if you're not careful the water spills down the side of the neoprene cover while pouring. I'm getting better at it, so it might just be me.
A very high quality Swedish made unit and I highly recommend for the casual camper to the hardcore backpackers.

That said I am very pleased with the quality and features of the stove. It includes a piezo lighter so no matches or extra lighter is needed. The regulator knob is easy to access and use. I like the way the pot fits securely to the burner unit and is simple to attach. The stove includes small pegs to lift a regular pot off the burner so you can use the stove to boil larger amounts of water if needed. Another nice feature is an included lanyard if you wanted to use the stove by hanging it rather than setting it on the ground using the included canister feet. Primus is a respected brand in this market and this stove represents an excellent value.
