This is simply a terrific grill for car camping. It is well built and designed but relatively lightweight (for what it is)...because of that you can't really bang it around and abuse it as that abuse will show. As is compact for a grill but, since it's a grill, it does take up some room.... Read More

I live in a condo community and have a small patio. I didn't want a large, clunky appliance outside. Instead wanted a grill I could use whenever and wherever with easy cleanup and storage. I cooked thick beef ribs and hot dogs. The flame was a good one at a low setting. Great heat output and throughout the grill. The ribs were wonderfully charred on the outside and tender inside! It concerned me not to have a cover but it cooked thoroughly with my attention and tongs to turn food over.
My only concern was the ignition. Directions are vague but I got it and may just need repeated use to get hang of it. Buy with confidence!

It is compact, easy to operate and to clean. The starter knob seems a bit tight but just keep turning harder.

This grill is fantastic. I read the other complaints of it being flimsy and really can't agree, its supposed to be portable which means there has to be some kind of tradeoff, otherwise it would weigh a ton. Very happy with this purchase, especially at the closeout price.

the grill appears to be very nice and I am looking forward to using it soon. I am glad that it arrived in good condition and at a great price. the same size as a stove and compared to regular portable grills this fits my wants.

Not all of the surface area is great for cooking, but you can still make 6-8 burgers at a time, and it's ultra portable.

  • “Does the grill top lift out easy for cleaning?”
Asked by Elizabeth from California on 4/21/2014 6:17:26 PM
    • Yes, the black grill-top comes out to clean very easily. However, the drippings from whatever you cook will fall down into the metal under the burner, which does not come out. I recommend a sheet of tin foil on the bottom under the burner, with a small hole poked for the drip dray. Otherwise, you'll end up at your sink for awhile with steel wool and a can of comet like I did, the first time.

    • Yes, the grate removes easily. It has 4 (I think) metal tabs that fit into slots in the grill base. The grate surface is coated with a non-stick coating and does clean easily.

  • “Is there a conversion hose to use reg propane tanks to avoid disposable canisters ?”
Asked by Dr Dave from Littleton co on 11/11/2012 12:00:00 AM
    • The Primus Profile BBQ Grill does not include a conversion hose. How ever they can be purchased at most propane stores or hardware stores.

  • “What type of fuel canister can be used? Are they available in most every store?”
Asked by Leggman from Unknown on 11/1/2012 12:00:00 AM
    • It uses standard disposable 1 lb. propane cylinder, you can find them at hardware, or most discount store that have camping gear.

  • “How many burners does this have?|Can it be used without the nonstick grill? |Are there grates to hold a pot?”
Asked by RuralGrl from San Francisco Bay Area on 10/2/2012 12:00:00 AM
    • This grill has one long burner element that runs the width of the grill along the center (longitudinally).||As the nonstick grill is removable I suppose you could use it without the grill surface, but then you'd have to either substitute another surface, suspend, or hold the food item to be grilled. For example...if you wanted to grill hotdogs or marshmallows on a could do that.||If you wanted to you could just put a pot on the grilling surface (but there is not a specific "grate" for a pot)...I'm not sure that would be the most efficient way to heat one (a pot of something)....I presume it would eventually boil water but can't say for sure as I didn't try it.
