Bright, but not durable

I used this light for two nights while fishing for large trout. After about 6 hours of intermittent use, the batteries that came with the light died. I only turned on the light to tie on flies and move to different spots in the river I was fishing. I was, consequently, turning the light on every half hour or so for about ten minutes. While fishing the light was off so as not to spook the fish. After I changed the batteries a second time, the switches failed to work. This indicated that there was perhaps a short in the switches. Fortunately, I had brought along a spare light (not the same manufacturer). I sent the light back to Sierra and received a refund.
