Good lampVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nori of the North from Montana on Sunday, January 21, 2018This new generation in this PTec series has an improved battery-case opening tab that doesn't break when you try to open it in below zero temps (like the old ones did). Good range of intensities and light angles, so functions well for anything from reading in the tent to night hiking.
Give Me A LIGHT, please.Reviewed by Rico Hardcore New Mexico from God's Country U.S.A. on Thursday, December 21, 2017This is one handy little headlamp! Everyone that sees me with it wants one & wants to know where to get one. The GREAT thing about the SYNC is it has 5 settings. It does not blink. It does have; HI & LOW FLOOD, HI & LOW SPOT & RED. Just turn the switch to whatever light you need. Practice in a dark room in the house so you can figure it out. With the Deal Saver at STP you can buy a couple and put one in your car in case you get a flat at night or give them out as gifts. Princeton Tec are the BEST and MADE IN THE USA. Imagine that!
solid and affordableVerified Buyer Reviewed by Andrew H from California on Monday, July 17, 2017Very comfortable, fairly light, tough, and easy to use. Excellent beam focusing too. Only annoyance is the battery hatch is kinda hard to pop open without using the flat edge of a tool (exe leatherman screwdriver), but at least it won't pop open accidentally.
Comfy, functionalVerified Buyer Reviewed by Backpack Dragoness from Louisville on Thursday, July 6, 2017I was looking for a headlamp with a red light mode, and am quite pleased with this one. It's easy to operate and I like the variety of modes.
Let there be lightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Hallie Rose from Washington on Thursday, June 15, 2017Have used this headlamp a couple of times now. It has multiple settings to adjust the brightness and color. It gets quite bright. I like it a lot.
GreatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Moon from Upstate NY on Monday, May 15, 2017This headlamp is great. It has many different settings of brightness, still figuring out what the difference of some of them are. It has a red light too, this is the main reason I got it, to keep night vision while using it. The lamp part can be tilted up or down, depending on where you need the light. Very useful for camping or working outdoors in the dark.
I live out in the mountains and the power goes out a lot, it actually went out the night after I picked this up from the post office! With the lamp around my head, I made a full dinner and went around the house as usual. The band is tight enough for my little head, most I've tried have been too loose, might be a little too tight if you have a very big head, although it is adjustable. I got the green and it's a very nice color.
Princeton Tec Sync 90 lumen headlampVerified Buyer Reviewed by Trouter from NW Pennsylvania on Wednesday, August 31, 2016Purchased this product for backpacking when relaxing at night in tent. I have played with the product with lights out and it appears it will do the job for what I want. The main concern is battery life. I plan to carry spare batteries, but I don't want to be changing batteries every other night.
Good all around head lampVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bill Dill from Placerville on Wednesday, August 24, 2016A little heavy - not for light weight nazis but multiple light modes make up for extra weight. Great deal for the price with coupon.
Good lightVerified Buyer Reviewed by cmanthe from Wiscosin on Monday, July 25, 2016Great little light. Have so far just used it around the house on projects or when the power has gone out. Switch is easy to use. Adjustable. Just what I need.
Same old flimsy latchVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nori from Montana on Sunday, June 19, 2016Was disappointed that this model had basically the same flimsy battery compartment latch that previous models had. The photo on the website looks like this one had a different design. Owned several of the earlier models and they generally lasted only until I tried to change batteries when it was cold out -- then the brittle plastic latch would snap right off. Like the older model, this one is working great for now, but I expect it to break next winter.
