When you first unroll it, it will seem a little flat but after a few uses will fluff up nicely. It is actually adult sized (many aren't), extremely light, and warm. Forget the "down alternative" throws. Once you use a real down blanket/comforter, you'll find that there is no alternative to down. And, at the Sierra price, you can get one for every person in the house. They'll love you for it.
