Based in Boise, Idaho, Proof Eyewear was created by Brooks Dame, a young entrepreneur on a mission to design and manufacture a unique wood-based product. After dabbling with several ideas, Brooks began creating prototypes of wood-framed sunglasses. After starting the business in his garage in 2011, Brooks enlisted the help of his two brothers. The trio started a limited manufacturing run of wood sunglasses and launched a website. A few months later, after a welcoming response at their first trade show, Proof Eyewear quickly grew into a full-fledged boutique brand. After just a few short years, Proof sunglasses are now available in more than 20 countries worldwide, and the brand continues to create new and innovative styles to meet growing demand.
