Can't beat such a hansom, high quality knife for such a low price.

I grew up on a farm and have been using knives for work and to survive while either on the trail, at the farm, camping, at the cabin in the mountains. You always have a need for a quality knife for a tool used for cooking, keeping the fire going etc.
This knife is strong enough to split wood, the blade is thick and strong enough to use it with a hammer or ax to use it to split smaller strips for kindling or to control a fires temperature when cooking.
It has a great shape for the blade, very functional; the blade is slightly fluted dropping weight while keeping strength.
Great functional sheath secures knife but quick release button allows for quick release to access knife.
The knife arrived sharp enough to shave and I was able to edge back with just a few swipes on a diamond base sharpener.

This knife just feels good in the hand. Well balanced, sturdy, and just the right proportions. Good looking. Comes very sharp. The sheath is decent but could be a bit better/heavier duty.

There is much I like about the knife. The materials used are excellent, the stainless alloy appears to be good, a brass pummel and micarta handle. The workmanship is also excellent. The design works well for me, small so it is not too heavy to carry and effective at miscellaneous jobs like prepping potatoes et cetera.

I normally send off as xmas presents so don't get to use. These are well made, good looking knifes. Don't know how long they keep and edge or how they perform but would make good gifts to young hunters.

Terrific blade for the price. Solid, sharp knife with good, nicely balanced heft. Just pleasing proportions. I'd buy another if I could justify it!

About Puma Knife Company

Johann Wilhelm Lauterjung started forging Puma knives in 1769 just outside Solingen, a city in western Germany that has been a hub of fine German blacksmithing and knife-making for more than 1000 years. Based in Lenexa, Kansas, Puma Knife Company USA has been the North American distributor of Puma knives since 2009. After nearly two and a half centuries, Puma knife blades are still forged in Germany using only the highest-quality steel. In addition, every Puma knife blade is tested by a Rockwell hardness tester before being shipped to the manufacturer to ensure a superior product.
