Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Too narrow in the thighReviewed by Kiki likes to Ski-ski from Tucker Co, WV on Wednesday, March 28, 2018I don't have particularly thick thighs - about 18" mid-thigh and 21" at the top - but these were way snug; I can't imagine a base layer under them. Considering that most winter sports for which, I'd guess, one would wear these (I'd hoped both to xc and downhill ski in them) tend to be quad-building, I wonder why this seemed like a good design. Might work out for skinny-thighed folks, or for those who just plan on wearing them around town? I dunno.
Should have listened to other reviewersVerified Buyer Reviewed by Sunny Sally from Seattle on Monday, March 5, 2018These were too small, I'm usually a size 6 and the M (8-10) were too slim fitting to work with a base layer. Also, there are inner thigh zipper vents, which were unexpected.
just a shellReviewed by ejanej from Denver on Saturday, February 24, 2018These are not insulated. They seem comfy but I don't imagine they are warm.
Great coverage and warmVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mtn air Girl from NE PA on Thursday, February 22, 2018Very warm and allows good movement while "playing" outside in snow.
PantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by ConnorM from Colorado on Monday, February 19, 2018I purchased these pants for cross country skiing. They're super soft and light, even though they are lined. Great product!
Nice features and looks greatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Rutheflutist from New mexico on Tuesday, February 13, 2018These waterproof pants are very nice looking and made out of solid material that seems like it will last well. They have some nice features like an adjustable waistline and multiple zippered pockets. I’m not sure how I’ll like the zip vent at the crotch yet but you never know, could be just what I needed. I usually wear size 9 jeans but have trouble with my thighs being too big. That definitely is an issue in these pants. With my jeans underneath I could barely lift my leg. However, when I switched to leggings they fit pretty well. I’m going to try them because I run warm, probably won’t need any extra layers, and it has been hard for me to find a pair for a decent price that fits at all.
Excellent value.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Patroller2 from Idaho Falls, Idaho on Tuesday, February 13, 2018Great pant and quality. The sizing runs about a size small. My granddaughter wears an XS, had to order a small. With just that little notation, still a great pant. I alsos ordered her a medium for next season to have on hand.
Really heavy pants.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Melzy from Massachusetts on Monday, January 29, 2018These pants were very heavy and huge for a small.
LOVE THESE PANTS!Reviewed by LindseyB from Michigan on Tuesday, January 16, 2018I'm 5'5 and wear a size 0. These pants fit perfect and have enough room for my base layer.

“I am interested in these pants, but after ordering the Fers Flair Soft Shell Ski Pants and having the size 6 be too tight, I am leery about the sizing. I am 5 ft 5 in, and weigh 108 lb, with muscular thighs. There are no reviews for guidance. Do you suggest an XS or a S?
Also, are they soft shell? Are they insulated? I want them for XC skiing.
If you hover your mouse over or click on the sizes, the corresponding numeric size will be displayed. These are soft shell, they are lined but not insulated.
