Great All Purpose pants

I haven't had a chance to put these through all their paces - I'll have to wait for winter for that. But the early look at these with a bit of hiking and camping was great. They are what I'd call a midweight pant. The extra reinforcement at the knees and backside isn't all that bomber, but enough to offer some help. The kick protection at the cuffs are a nice material, and the ability to cinch the ankle openings a bit is a must since these kind of flare a bit. I could see these being a great all around outdoor pant for a lot of years. Size seems right...I'm a 33 waist and the large (34 waist) has a bit of extra room, especially with the stretch. I could wear em without a belt, but probably would put a simple belt on if I were doing major activity. Then again, I get fatter in winter, so probably won't need a belt then! Inseam I think they list as 31" for a large, though I'd say mine are just a touch longer than that. I like the fit of the pants, not too tight, not too baggy, and the stretch is nice. I look forward to testing how water resistant they are...I haven't been out in so much as a drizzle, so can't comment on that. Nice pants from Rab.
