This is a replacement for a down jacket that had snagged and worn through at the cuffs. The fabric is sturdy and claimed to be water repellent. It is a good fit (XL for women's size 12) allowing room for a sweater underneath, and longer in the back so it covers the seat. The sleeves are extra long and cover the hands or push up. The outer zip pockets are extra large for gloves and there is an interior zip pocket too. adjustable with sliders a the bottom and hood for a snug fit against the wind. It's a little less bulky than my previous down jacket but still warm enough for a blustery 20-degree day with a sweater underneath. The zipper is a bit stiff to get started but OK. Note, this is 20% feathers, not 100% down, but you won't feel any feather quills--as good as all down. An excellent value for a high quality, well-designed jacket. Hoping to enjoy it for years.

This is the perfect jacket-it is not too fitted like some women's jackets but certainly has shape to it and is not too bulky. I haven't worn it in extremely cold temperatures yet but have worn it with nothing under it on 30 degree days and have been pleasantly toasty. As someone who is usually ALWAYS cold this jacket is my new favorite and I'm sure it will stand up to the negative degree winter temperatures where I live. And it has a hood-that is proportionate to the jacket-which is hard to find with a down jacket.
