Fit true to size with elastic and built in belt. They hang loose in the lower leg but not too baggy. A bit snug in the thighs for medium to large quads but they do stretch out while using them. Won't be quite as durable to abrasion as straight nylon and aren't as water resistant but breath better. I would not put them up against stormy severe wind or rain. I did hike 10 miles in moderate rain (approx 60 degrees F ) with some help of some rain pants after awhile, and they did ok while exposed. Dry very quickly while on the move.

    Awesome value. Love Rab gear.

I ordered these pants hoping the inseam would be long enough but doubting it. It was worth the shot but ultimately the 32" inseam is too short for me. Otherwise I'd have ordered the other color right away as well. A nice light weight pant. Articulated knees for freedom of leg movement, a great integrated web belt, two small waist snaps worked great and would prevent a weak snap popping on exertion or with motion as some of my other hiking pants do that snap. A slight flare at the bottom would go over hiking boots without causing them to flap on each other. These would easily transition from trail to town or work as travel pants as well. If your inseam is 32" you will love these pants. Rab is a favorite of mine as their quality is outstanding and the form and function are first but the styling isn't fashion first, function last as some others have become.

These pants are very comfortable and light. The vent well and aren't too hot (although I have yet to wear them in the middle of summer). I dinged a star for the first pair I ordered since one of the buttons on the fly broke the first time I wore them. Luckily Sierra swapped them out for me and the second pair has been fine. I'm chalking it up to bad luck, considering what I paid for them these pants were an amazing deal.
