First impressions

Just pulled the pants out of its wrapping and tried them on. They feel very durable especially the kick patches at the ankle - which will be excellent protection against crampons.

I'm 5'8", 29" waist, 140lbs and small fits very well. I'd guess it has a 31" inseam. It fits snug through the body where the bib is but is a regular fit through the waist and legs. I was able to comfortably where the salopettes over a medium weight soft shell with good range of motion, eg high stepping.

The lower legs are cut to fit a full ski boot which means you'll have a fair amt of material flopping around when using them with climbing boots. There is a drawstring on the lower leg hem which will help somewhat and loops on each side to secure shock cord - which you can then run under your boot instep. I guess I'll have to wear an external gaitor when using them for climbing as a means to gather in all the extra material (even though they come with an internal gaitor).

Finally you'll note there's only one small pocket in the bib good enough for your wallet or phone.

I'll add another review when I've had a chance to wear them in extreme weather.
