Arm have a little too longVerified Buyer Reviewed by Linda from Colorado on Thursday, January 25, 2018Every thing on this jacket is so good, I'm 5" 124lb, wear the size M.
I glad I see the review first, so I size up.
Every thing is so nice, just the arm for me is too long, but I still love it.
Runs smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mary the hiker from Salt Lake City on Monday, January 1, 2018Good quality, attractive jacket. However, didn't keep because it felt too tight, especially with layers underneath. I am 5'5", 120 lbs., and almost always wear a size 4-6 or size Small.
SIZING RUNS SMALLReviewed by Adirondack Reedman from Lake George, NY on Tuesday, December 19, 2017Purchased a size small for my wife (which claims to be a 6)for XMAS, and when I opened the package the jacket appeared to look quite small. I had my teenage daughter try it on who wears a size 2 and she practically dislocated her shoulders trying to fit it on. Gonna return it and how thatvthe medium fits.
as with all Rab, this is top notch qualityReviewed by hike bike cook from PNW on Friday, December 8, 2017This is a fantastic soft-shell. Big pockets in front designed to stash full sized gloves and other goodies, very water resistant (but its a soft-shell, so obviously not fully waterproof) outer, tough fabric, great weight, and a soft fleecy warm interior. Not insulated, but the fabric lends itself to being warm. The armpit are cut high, is you have a lot of freedom of movement (Rab is climber's brand, after all). If you have thicker upper arms, you might not love this jacket, but you will get a full range of motion. I'm 5'7" 140ish and a M was great. Color is awesome, zipper is solid and I really love it. :)
Comfy and warmVerified Buyer Reviewed by Teri from NY on Monday, December 4, 2017Lining is warm and comfy thru the body and sleeves, sleeves are plenty long, slightly longer in back, made well. Great soft shell. Only thing i would add is pit zips to dump heat when hiking or skinning.
fantastic softshellVerified Buyer Reviewed by polarbird from Minnesota on Friday, November 17, 2017Based on other reviews, I was skeptical, but this jacket is fantastic. Excellent length in the back, adjustable hood that is deep enough to shut out the elements, and it does not bind or rise up when I lift my arms; all good qualities in a cold weather jacket. Only reason why I gave it 4/5 stars is the front pockets are oddly large. Would be nice to have a smaller, smart-phone sized pocket.
LoveVerified Buyer Reviewed by Elizabeth from CO on Friday, November 3, 2017Really love this jacket. I bought a medium and it fits me perfectly... 5'11" 150 lbs. It's long enough for me, it is very comfortable on, and I find it perfect to work outside in. Warm and colors are beautiful... I got the midnight blue.
Had to returnVerified Buyer Reviewed by S from Arizona on Tuesday, January 10, 2017This Jacket was everything I was looking for in a softshell, but nothing mattered because, even when I sized up from Small to Medium, the pits were way too tight and I was just wearing a tank top--no layers. Def not practical. Too bad.
Awesome jacketReviewed by Carrie from Colorado on Friday, January 6, 2017I bought this jacket to use on a backcountry snowshoe trip. It served me well. We were crossing a mountain with temperatures in the teens and wind gusts in the 40s. The jacket blocked the wind and kept me warm. The hood stayed up and was easy to cinch down, even with heavy mittens on. Others in our group had trouble with their hoods and were not able to secure them as easily. This was a last minute purchase and I was skeptical as I had never heard of the brand (I did do some research before buying it), but went with it since it appeared to be what I was looking for and the price was right. I am very glad I did. It also kept me warm yesterday as I was shoveling the sidewalk when it was 5 degrees F!
Small, but quality productVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jocelyn from Pennsylvania on Thursday, December 22, 2016I was afraid to order this jacket because of the reviews about the armholes being strange. When I first got it, I didn't know if I would keep it because of the fabric digging into my armpits. But, I found that the fabric stretches quite easily, and after a few times of gentle stretching, it is comfortable! It does run small; my size medium fits like a size small. The fabric and features are really nice quality - a great jacket for the price!
