The story behind Rapala lures began in the 1930s when a Finnish angler named Lauri Rapala made an observation about fish behavior. After noticing that large fish were much more likely to consume small, injured fish, he set out to make a lure that mimicked the appearance of a distressed minnow. Using a shoemaker’s knife and sandpaper, Lauri whittled what would become the first Rapala fishing lure -- the now legendary Original Floating Rapala. Over the years, the Rapala name grew, and today Rapala is one of the world’s largest and most respected names in fishing lures.

Check on Rapala's site if you want - the shadow rap series is a series of jerkbaits (ad the packaging indicates that it's a jerkbait). Anyway, other than that, looks like a fine lure. If I catch something on it, it can be labelled a spinnerbait for all I care...
