I’ve been waiting for a pair of moc toes in my size to come along and be in a color i really liked, black was always my first choice being it goes with pretty much everything and I got lucky just after Christmas and scooped these up, this is my third pair of red wings my first being the Beckmann’s they are nicely broken in like an old baseball mitt now, I’ve been wearing them for well over a year and they just keep looking better, the next pair I bought were the black chukkas I had to up size to an 11 only because they come to a point not squared off like the moc toes and the Beckmann’s witch have a slightly wider toe box, I wear an 11 in vans era and i ordered a 10 1/2 in 8130’s they fit real nice out of the box the right toe box seemed lightly more narrow than the left toe box so I put my shoe stretcher in it over night because it was hammering my pinky toe, 24 hours later and it fit great, for being factory seconds you really have to look hard to see where the blemish is, the leather is absolutely flawless the only blemish being a slight mistake in the stitching around the toe, it’s not loose just not perfectly even like the other side, if your on the fence about ordering factory seconds this is my 3rd pair and Im completely satisfied with all my red wing purchases from here and saved a ton of money doing so...

About Red Wing

With a heritage dating back to 1905, Red Wing Shoes are legendary as an American success story. One Red Wing shoe style was standard GI-issue for WWI soldiers, and after emerging successfully from the Great Depression and the Second World War, the Red Wing brand name became synonymous with reliable, comfortable leather shoes and boots. Norman Rockwell, the artist famous for Americana artwork, even created a series of drawings for Red Wing Shoes. In the 1970s, Red Wing Shoes spread to Canada, Mexico, South America and Europe, offering its popular line of leather work boots and shoes. Red Wing has broadened its scope to offer everything from casual leather lace-up shoes and loafers to rugged work boots to thong sandals. Today, Red Wing runs three production facilities employing hundreds of expert craftsmen, but still makes each pair of oxfords, loafers, work boots and athletic shoes by hand.
