This is my first pair of snowshoes. I used them with my hiking boots and they were perfect. Very easy to put on and I did not have to adjust the straps during my two hour hike through the woods. I used them on deep snow, steep, icy terrain and they never slipped. I am very happy with my purchase...

You will want to go with you weight range. If you are close to the middle to upper edge you can go up a size. Bigger allows you to have more float on the snow.
