Great HoodieVerified Buyer Reviewed by Dave from South Dakota on Thursday, September 10, 2015This Hoodie is great. I've worn it stream fishing and camping with great comfort. The thumbholes are great for keeping the cuffs down and the UPF protection is nice while I'm in the stream. Very light weight and flexible. I recommend it highly.
snags, snags, snagsReviewed by Average Joe from NC on Monday, October 27, 2014I don't understand why anybody or company would make an outdoor product that snags so easily. You look at this thing the wrong way and it will have a snag or a pull. Can't imagine going into the woods with this on.
The fit is nice, like the thumb holes.
a little snugVerified Buyer Reviewed by PRG from Fkorida on Friday, September 26, 2014very pleased but based on other reviews I ordered a size smaller than normal. Still fits well but a little more snug than I like, Great deal ona nice shirt
Fabric pulls easilyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Fishcolorado from Colorado on Monday, May 26, 2014I like the sweatshirt. Fits well, etc. have worn it twice and have two long pulls already.
Trendy, runs a little largeVerified Buyer Reviewed by JJS from Chicago on Thursday, May 22, 2014I am a large and medium for most hoodies. I should have gone with a medium but I'm still satisfied with the style and comfort.
Pretty niceVerified Buyer Reviewed by charmar from PA on Thursday, May 15, 2014This hoodie has a nice, soft, and somewhat stretchy feel. Fairly thin, feels like it should breathe quite well. I can't say how warm it is, as I haven't used it in very cool conditions. The hood has no drawstring.
not a lightweight shirtVerified Buyer Reviewed by hawks fan from washington on Thursday, May 1, 2014purchased this for my father; he has had history of skin cancer and wanted the sun protection and hood. was expecting a light weight shirt that could be worn on hot summer days. Seems a little heavy for that, but I have not (and my father has not) tried it yet. It may be more breathable and cool than it first appears, but the feel of it makes me think it will be a little too heavy. With that being said, I tried it on and it is comfortable, and will be a good shirt for sunny but cooler days.
Fishing hoodyReviewed by Zac from The CO on Tuesday, February 11, 2014It was a little heavier than I thought it would be but overall, a great a piece to add to the collection. Seems well made and will work perfect those chilly mornings out on the raft and even better by a campfire at the end of the day.
Pros and ConsReviewed by Chuckster the Saltwater Flyfisherman from Cape Cod on Monday, February 10, 2014I absolutely love Redington's gear, and I have a shirt similar to this hoodie, so naturally I jumped on it when it came up on STP. I really want to like this hoodie... but it has one annoying issue. The fabric "pulls" on the slightest patch of rough skin, hangnail, you name it... it's very "catchy" (for lack of a better term). I tried it on the day I received it, and put two pulls in it just taking it out of the bag.
I don't have particularly rough hands (computer work), and I don't have issues with fly tying materials, so I guess you could consider this fabric as extra delicate.
Aside from that one issue, it's really a nice piece of gear. Super comfortable, sizing is right, nice pocket on the arm for a Nano, and thumbholes that are helpful when layering.
So, there you have it. Guess you'll have to decide for yourself. Good luck!
