I've used these waders three days so far and very pleased with the fit and comfort. Wore the waders hiking in 2 feet of snow to the river, fished and drove home in them with no problems. I'm 5' 9'' and 152 lbs with a 31 inch inseam and wear size 9 boots. Bought the mediums based on the size chart... Read More

They look good and sturdy. A little sbug around the calf and the feet seems to be a bit over sized even with 2 pairs of socks. Haven't had them in the water yet.

Seems like a good product but have not used on the stream yet. Very comfortable for my 6'-3" 270# body. The zipper is a very good thing when streamed in the rain or snow.

These waders get 3 stars from me at this point. I fish often in waders and have worn many of the top brands. I have only fished in these about 20 hours so durability will not be commented on (and that's worth at least two stars). I am 5'9" and 180lbs with a 31" inseam. On my frame the large regular are unbinding when stepping up high and squatting down without a bunch of extra loose material. They rise up to my arm pits for deep wades or float tubing. One item I would improve is the snap hook on the gravel guard. The snap hook is very stiff and a pain to unhook. The Neoprene feet don't feel as dense I as I would like but time will tell. Overall, for the money (at Sierra) these could be tough to beat.

I would recommend to anyone. Five star for the price.

Just took my new waders out for a steelhead trip with up to 3 miles of hiking each day. They are VERY comfortable and the Front Zip is so much better than traditional waders. So far these are the best waders I have fished in.

  • “Can the neoprene booties either be fixed/replaced when they wear out?”
Asked by Ned from Vancouver on 8/25/2014 1:00:14 AM
    • I never have been able to get them replaced. I have repaired one once. Best thing is to contact Redington about this.

    • I know Simms will replace the stockingfoot boots on their waders so it's possible, but dude seriously you will wear out other stuff before these. The stockingfoot is anatomically correct and they fit pretty true so you are unlikely rainwear them out. That usually happens with poorly fitted booties. These are great waders. I know guides who wear these all year long in tough conditions and only change them after 3 years.

    • These are terrific waders. They do come in a short. I actually got a xl in short from Sierra. The size you are looking for is LS. I had to get on the chat with a representative on their website so they could check to see if they had an XLS because it wasn't a listed choice, but she found it and I was able to buy it. Hope they have what you need. They are very accommodating thru this chat platform. Good luck

    • Mr Caddis Chuck. after reviewing your question I feel that a size medium would fit you well, the chest is 39-41and the shoe size is 9-10 I do not know what the inseam is but if is a little long i don't feel it will be an issue. The waders i purchased were 4 inches too long in the inseam an I will admit I was concerned about the extra length. but for me it was not an issue. They were very comfortable. and there was room for thermals, and now that we are out of the cold season they still fit wonderfully. When you get them you will notice that they are a little stiff but they quickly loosen up. I love mine.

    • Can't answer that for you although I was able to buy these in a medium long so chances are good they could have a medium short. You could also check Simms or Dan Bailey.

    • The XL might work best for you. We do have an open exchange policy if you need to try a different size.

    • I'm 6', 170, 42 chest & 34 inseam, size 12 shoe. I just bought a pair in large. The booties fit fine but the inseam is barely enough for me. I think I'd like the large/long but they're not available here. These are going to work OK for me.

    • Chunk,

Based on my experience with these waders, it would appear that you are between a Medium Long and Large. Here's my specs: I am 6'1", weigh 165lbs, 34' inseam, chest 40-41'. I personally bought and use the Medium Long. It probably makes sense to err on the side of roominess, but my ML's are perfect for me. I hope this helps.
