Columbia Sportswear Flash Forward Down Jacket - 650 Fill Power (For Women)

Closeouts. The Columbia Sportswear Flash Forward down jacket offers all the warmth of other insulated jackets without the puffed-up-marshmallow feel. Bonded -- rather than stitched -- baffles keep the down in place and improve the jacket's water resistance.

This jacket makes a great pillow, and kept me cozy around camp after a day of hiking. It seems kind of thin (not very puffy), but it kept me very warm, and the long sleeves covered my hands, which was nice! Seems to run a bit on the large side, when it comes to being true to size, but I like the extra roominess.

This jacket has a stunning color (I got the blue) fits well and is a great coat for 40 degree weather or as a layer under a thicker coat.

The coat is nice and my guess will suit my needs. It is very light weight but the down should keep me plenty warm. It is a little shinier than I would have guessed from the picture. Be aware: I ordered a size small. I am 5'5", with 36.5 inch hips and the coat is snug - sizing indicated it would be appropriate for 38 inch hips so order accordingly.

I found this jacket to be a bit tight in the shoulders, but super long in the sleeves. For this reason, I had to return it, but it was of great quality otherwise.

Nice weight but very tight in the arm pit and chest area. I will need to order the next size up.

I'm 5'6" and 118 lbs but carry that mostly in my lower body. I ordered an XS (mu usual size) and it fit well with room for a light sweater and a fleece jacket underneath. It has horizontal seaming that is not exactly flattering but it is shaped and both the torso and arms were long enough. I have long arms and if a jacket fits through the shoulders (rare) the sleeves are almost always too short. Since shoulders are almost always too wide for me it usually works out but this jacket actually fits through the shoulder and my arms. It is the end of the season so I haven't been able to test it in real cold but it seems snuggly.

This jacket is very lightweight and packable. The sleeves are disproportionately long. The jacket fabric has a bit of a glossy look. It's not as warm as expected, but I'm not familiar with the fill power numbers. It's good for a Chicago 40 degree and up day. My biggest complaint is that it is very tight at the bottom where it closes over my hips. I am 5'5", 130lb, medium build. My hips are 39". I cannot comfortably close the jacket with anything more than a single layer of clothing. The value for me is the light weight and good price. That's why it earned 4 stars.

I am 5ft 4inches, 129lbs, medium build. I returned this product because the hips were a tad snug for me. Fits generously through the shoulders.

I'm 5'3" and 115 lbs and a medium fit perfect for layering. Going on an Alaska cruise in June and I think this down jacket will be the perfect weight for the weather. The real is a beautiful color too! I love it!

I've bought numerous Columbia products over the years and have never been disappointed in quality, performance, etc till I received this product. If Columbia decided to make a cheap junk line of products then this jacket would fit in very nicely. The only positive I can say is size, meaning buy your usual size. Obviously this was returned.
I will continue to purchase Columbia as well as other products from STP. As usual dealing with STP is always a pleasure. Customer service is their priority and I for one appreciate their dedication to a high standard.
