Reviewed by Albert from Philadelphia on Thursday, June 22, 2017This is the first piece of Carhartt clothing that I've purchased that ended up being a tad small. Not too too small, but just enough to be noticeable. I definitely don't have 100% range of motion as my arms are held up a bit at the pits and the crotch is a tad tight. I'm using this as general DIY coverall, no need for FR, but the price was right on STP. These get quite warm, much warmer than expected, no need for heavy layers underneath in the fall into early winter here in Philly. I very much like the wrist closures to get the gaps really tight so wood chips / sawdust don't spill in.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jaclyn from HI on Wednesday, August 17, 2016I got these for my boyfriend who is a sailor. He loves the happy pockets these have and the material is very durable. It does run a little baggy so I would size down. My boyfriend is 6'1 normally orders tall in coveralls but could have worn a regular, we're getting them hemmed 2 inches. I wouldn't recommend tall to anyone 6'2 and under.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bill W from Westchester County, New York on Sunday, April 3, 2016I make toys for birds which involved a lot of sanding of wooden parts. I do the work in the front yard to keep sawdust out of the house, but I was ending up with a heavy coating of sawdust which inevitably found it's way inside with me. These coveralls are just what I needed. They keep me covered from head to toe and can easily be removed and shaken out before entering the house. They have breast, rear and side pockets where I can store things such as a small screwdriver & wrench (for changing sanding pads). They have pass through pockets on each side which allow easy access to the front pockets of my jeans. A sturdy full length zipper is covered with a flap secured by velcro to keep the zipper free of dust and debris.
I'm 5' 8" tall and even though I ordered the "SHORT" version of the coverall I had to shorten the legs by about 2". Not a big deal and essential for persons a bit taller than me.
I've not had the coveralls for a long time, so I'm not able to comment on how they wash or their long-term durability. They're made from a sturdy USA-made twill material which suggests they will hold up well over time. For the price, however, these coveralls are, in my opinion, a good buy.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Lw from Maryland on Thursday, February 11, 2016Got these to replace a lined version that always made me too hot once I started working. I bought one size larger, because I think Carhart 100% cotton products tend to shrink a little the first couple of times they are washed. This strategy worked as expected, and now I think I have the perfect coveralls. They have a reasonable number of pockets, tool holders, etc. without overkill, they are very comfortable, they provide warmth without excess weight or inflexibility, and look nice as well. I haven't tried setting myself on fire, so I can't address their flameproof properties. At the Sierra price, they are a real bargain!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gift Buyer from NM on Wednesday, January 20, 2016Purchased these coveralls for a young man that wears a 32" pant. I ordered the 34 Regular and they are a pretty snug fit over clothes. I think a 36 would have been better. He kept them because he wanted to use them "right now". They are a nice heavy weight as we expected from Carhartt. They are not insolated.
