I am 6 ft tall and about 205 lbs. I usually wear a large but this was real tight. It's stretchy and I suppose if you were only wearing it under a shell that wouldn't be a big deal. Showed the gut a little too much for me. I wanted to wear this on its own. I loved the material and overall construction of the hoodie. Would have ordered a bigger size had they had it.

This is my second Rab product. I have been beyond pleased. The fit is great for me. (I'm a slender 6'1 175 and wear a Large.) The material is both solid and light weight. The other jacket is a wind jacket, so I wasn't sure how this one would go. The sleeves are plenty long. No unnecessary frills. No sleeve pocket or chest pocket, just two lovely hand pockets that aren't too high but still high enough to be out of the way. The hood is actually functional without a helmet. It synches down well. The hem has a drawstring. This thing is warm but not hot and sticky. No it doesn't block the wind perfectly, but it does so better than a regular heavy weight hoodie. This goes well under my rain shell. It's a bit tight, but goes under the wind jacket too. It's not as long as a Patagonia R1 jacket, but it's long enough that you aren't exposing your back when you bend over.

    Highly recommend.

Really a great light hoody and jacket. Nice and stretchy for activewear. Reasonably warm on its own but breathes really well to regulate temperature when active in cooler temps. Or just wear it for comfort around the house. A very versatile fleece.

The fleece seemed nice, and the features and color (grey) were good. The body and hood were fine. The arms were way too long. I ordered large. I usually wear a 40-42 sport coat and size 15 arms. I am 5'11" and 180. The medium would have been way too small in the chest since the large was already very fitted up there. I returned it.

This hoodie is exactly what I've been looking for! It is stretchy, soft, warm enough for my 40 degree hikes, and is very snug. I had to switch from Size S to Size M, since this hoodie tends to run very slim. Size M fits me perfectly, is long enough to never expose my waist when my hands are up, and the sleeves are long and comfy. Couldn't be any more pleased with this product! I'm a Rab fan now!

I received this hoodie, and was very excited to start wearing it, but I quickly realized, that this thing runs too small. I am 5'9", 152lbs, and Size S was a bit too small for me in the waist. Build quality of this hoodie is great, but get a size up from what you normally order with other companies. I am waiting on my Size M to arrive now.

the best fleece hoody i have owned. decent warmth under a shell and very breathable, just as the material is intended. the newer Pro version of Polartec's popular Power Stretch fabric is stretchier and softer, but more burly because of the brushed face. hood fits well, adjustment is easy, and pockets are a good size and placement.

others have complained about the wind getting through, but that is what this fabric is made for. for those not familiar, Power Stretch Pro is like a technical fleece sweatshirt material; light, breathable, comfortable, handles sweat well...very versatile material. and extremely well put together, as i would expect from Rab.

one note about sizing: Rab is a European company, so their sizing is generally slimmer, usually a full size. i am 5'8", 175, 41" chest, usually a medium in US sizing, but a large in EU sizing (chest measurements are usually pretty accurate if you look at their size chart). Euro companies also tend to fit slimmer in the waist and a bit longer in the arms and torso than some US brands (Patagonia, Marmot, Columbia, etc...).

I have to disagree with the other review. This is the same polartec powerstretch fabric use in other brands. It is a lighter stretchy fleeced designed for use as a mid layer or outer breathable layer for active use. For this it is perfect. If you want something windproof get a soft shell. It is an athletic fit so size up if you want to wear it over another layer. I am 72 inches and 170 lbs and it fits close over one base layer.

technically it's horrible. yes it's very breatheable but it's not warm nor is it wind resistance. The look is so-so. There is nothing nice about it. The quality suck. you can see the gap or hallow space when you unzip the pocket zipper. you can feel every bit of the wind when it blow at you. Even under 10 mph wind. Want to like this Rab polartec power stretch pro fleece but can't find a reason to. I am going to return this.
