Verified Buyer Reviewed by JoMa from Texas on Thursday, November 24, 2016Received these boots thinking I hit the jackpot, but the square toe was just too work boot looking for me and my purpose. These boots felt like they were high-quality, and I really like the Grayish-black color, but sent them back because of the toe. If they had this is a snip I would pay double...
Reviewed by Steve from Knoxville, TN on Tuesday, August 23, 2016Lucchese just makes the best boots. These fit perfect the first time I put the on. You just can't do better as far as boots. As noted by other reviewers, they are not black but a dark grey. Still they are beautiful and I am very pleased with them. Even more pleased by getting them at Sierra Trading Post which saved me a lot of money! Shipping is fast( under a week). Highly reckoned these boots and Lucchese in general. Other sites want far more than Sierra Trading Post from them. Also the goat hide is a very nice material softer than cowhide. Lucchese no longer makes this model so if you want them get them now.
Reviewed by JDP from Texas on Friday, March 4, 2016This is a great boot with the ability to wear on Saturday Night or to a rodeo. It is a well made boot with the Lucchese quality built into every part of the boot. It is a good looking boot to me. The goat leather has a look and feel that seems like it will last forever !!!!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by STP Fan from Pocono Mts, PA on Friday, January 22, 2016These are very well made boots, and maybe deserve 5 stars. But I don't like them as much as another pair of Lucchese I got from STP. Those fit my nominal size, but I could only use the thinnest of socks. I ordered up one half size for these, and that was the right choice. The black is not a true black, more dark grey. Not a bad thing, but something to note. Would probably become full black if polished. The upper side of the sole is not dyed, which I guess someone thought was a nice design touch. I did not, and dyed it black. The leather is pretty dry. I put Neatsfoot oil on them, pretty heavy, three times, and it is still kind of dry. The colored threads did not change color from the oil. Probable a poly thread, to remain color fast. The sole feels very comfortable inside - well shaped, no disturbing bumps. The shaft is not as soft as the other Lucchese pair I have, and will take a little break in, or higher boot socks to be more comfortable. But I think that is because the others are extra soft, not that these are extra stiff. Still, I recommend these as very well made boots. Just go up one half size, to have room for normal thickness socks.
