I was looking for a jacket that was warm, somewhat business like, and functional. This jacket certainly fits the bill. I have been wearing it in single digit weather with wind chills well below 0 and this jacket will keep your upper half warm with even a short sleeve shirt on underneath. Like it says it does not make you sweat like other jackets this warm. The pocket space allows for all of my gadgets and plenty of room left over for more stuff. The liner comes out and the outer layer makes a great rain coat. Great buy for 100 dollars. If you are looking for a business casual jacket that isn't bulky this is it.

Really nice jacket, and stylish. Just too big for what I needed.

WE LIKED IT WELL ENOUGH WE BOUGHT TWO. SEE OUR PREVIOUS REVIEW. WE FOUND IT TO BE SIZED SIMILAR TO OTHER XL PARKAS THAT WE HAVE OWNED. ABOUT THE ONLY IMPROVEMENT WE WOULD MAKE IS TO ADD A TWO WAY ZIPPER (AND WE MAY DO THAT). WE NEVER USE THE INNER JACKET WITHOUT THE SHELL, SO WE DON'T HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH IT. ONE OF THE BEST MID WEIGHT (100 GRAM INSULATION ACCORDING TO COLUMBIA'S WEBSITE) WATERPROOF JACKETS (ACTUALLY A PARKA) ON THE MARKET IN OUR OPINION. AND AT A GREAT PRICE WITH SIERRA'S DISCOUNTS !!!!!

I was disappointed that the jacket was not that warm, especially in sub-35 weather. The outer shell is pretty waterproof (I tested in heavy rain/sleet weather) and windproof. It is also quite heavy. The inner shell is light but threadbare. The omni heat inner shell jacket is suitable for 45+ temperatures, in general. It is not waterproof and not very windproof, though. The jacket is not that breathable, too, especially with the outer shell on. If you're looking for a 3 in 1 interchange jacket for mild fall / winter weather or rainy / snowy days, this is your jacket.

This jacket looked to be too good to be true hovever it lived up to my every expectation.
I have only worn it in the colder weather with the "Mylar" lining however it has been exceptionally comfortable and warm in the cold and dry in the wet. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for all weather protection.

Overall, a very nice jacket. It looks good, it is warm enough and waterproof. The liner zips out and the hood is removable - both of which I like a lot. The snaps to tighten the cuffs have two positions, and are consequently limited in their usefulness ( I would prefer Velcro). If you are intending to wear this in very cold weather, you will either have to stay active or you will want to wear a sweater underneath.

My husband was very happy with this jacket. Love that the length is a bit longer to help cover the bum! So far it's been warm enough, but haven't had a chance to test the water proofing yet.
