I already owned the Mayfly chair in a different fabric. Wanted one to keep in my pack, one in the car. The low profile is good for someone who is flexible and not too heavy. I'm about 5'7", 140 lbs. The stability of the frame with the front bar (compare the Alite Butterfly design) makes it perfect for using a camp stove. The sling-type back is relaxing, but supportive. Easy to assemble.

So, this was purchased for backpacking. One of those not really a necessity type things but.... To be honest totally worth it for me, the added weight wasn't much and the relaxing and reclining at the end of a long day priceless. Plus its perfect for other activities the beach an outdoor concert etc. Very durable, sturdy and easy to assemble.

Going to use this for a music festival and will be great to pop up and transport around all day in the back pack

Unbelievably package, light, and just importantly, comfortable. It's sturdy, just be careful leaning too far to either side. You will tip over. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. An unnecessary luxury for many, but I've quickly found it indispensable in the backcountry.

Love this chair, super comfortable and it's low stance makes it perfect for hanging out under my low pitched hammock tarp. Like the ability to rock back in the chair.

I have been wanting to purchase two Mayflies for quite some time, but I was unable to swallow the retail price tag. I found them on STP on a whim and bought them. These little chairs are strong, durable, comfortable, lightweight, and compact. I took my 8 year old daughter for a small hike to fish the river and she carried the two chairs and her Barbie tackle box in her book bag back pack! We love these chairs. Set up is simple and they are there when you need them. PS. I am 6' 230 #s and the chairs support me fine.

The Alite Mayfly chair is a very comfortable well constructed camp chair. At 6'2" 200# this chair provides good support in the seat and back areas. The chair back is high enough such that my shoulders are not being gouged by the frame. After testing my first purchase, I purchased 2 more for gifts. At $50, this chair is a good value. Highly recommend for those looking for a light weight collapsible camp chair that is comfortable at a ground hugging height.

Actually light enough to carry into the backcountry if so inclined. Makes a comfy place to hang out!

Awesome chairs. Definite upgrade from ours that only have the two feet and no front support.

These are seriously GREEN, like bright put-on-your-sunglasses green. But awesome.
