Closeouts. Gregory's Contour 60 backpack provides a great combination of lightweight comfort and innovative organization. The simplified harness includes the Response LT waistbelt with ventilated air channels. The Trail Smart Packing System offers easy access to the right gear, when you need it.
Reviewed by Buford T. Justice from Patagonia on Sunday, May 8, 2016I tested this pack on a 12 day hike in Patagonia. It is light and carries quite well, with good ergonomics overall and a thoughtful waterproof rolling pocket on top. Gregory has succeeded in shedding weight wherever possible, and this means that some of the external pockets (water/fuel bottles and hip belt) are not as generously sized as on there regular line of packs. Also, the fastex buckles are small, which makes them fiddly under cold conditions wearing lightweight gloves. Lastly, the waist belt and shoulder straps accommodate a smaller range of sizes. At 6'2", 42 chest and 36 inch waist, I found the waist belt padded sections did not reach enough over my hips, nor did the shoulder straps accommodate my frame sufficiently. So I would recommend this pack as a good choice, but for those who are smaller than these proportions.
Reviewed by RuntheMountain from Atlanta on Friday, March 25, 2016I'm 5'6" and 150#. Fit the large as I have a long torso. Shoulder straps not as thin as I read on other reviews even with 40lbs. Took about 2 miles to find the right adjustments to where I feel comfortable. Have just taken it on two trial hikes: 40lbs and 4 miles then 30lbs and 2.5 miles. The 3 packing zones are what I was looking for in a pack where it was not all top-loaded. I wish the side pockets were larger to handle bigger bottles. Definitely will recommend.
