The umbrella is very small, but feels flimzy. Will see how strong it is when the wind blows. Not worth returning.

I bought this for an upcoming work trip to Cuba for protection from those unpredictable tropical downpours. I haven't actually used it yet, other than just trying it out in the house (yes, I know, that's supposedly bad luck!). My first impression of this was that it seemed rather flimsy and was difficult to open all the way and to lock into place. Eventually it did lock but it still seems rather flimsy. The handle is a little shaky and the fabric is extremely lightweight. It's certainly lightweight overall, and packs down small, so if it works, I'll be happy.

Light travel umbrella that folds up small. Not sure how long it will last.

Even though it folds up to a tiny thing it has a wide diameter. Not for huge windy storms but your average rainy day. Well made, stronger made ribs than most. The red color makes sense for crossing streets in the rain when drivers visibility is not good. The little handle is screwed on so that's something to consider.
