I love this jacket! I was skeptical that it would actually keep me warm since it’s so thin and lightweight, but it does the trick! I just did a hike yesterday wearing this jacket and a T-shirt and was never cold (it’s currently winter and I live in Minnesota). Definitely a good buy!

I'm 6" and 150lb and I got a medium, fit perfectly and there is room for a thick sweater if needed.

Forgot to mention in my other review that the outer material of this jacket is not soft. It has a hard finish and is noisy. With every movement there is a crackling sound of the material moving. I was expecting a nice soft puffy jacket and this is not it. The outer shell material just feels cheap. Not a nice soft down jacket to fall in love with. I am returning it.

Don't expect this jacket to be the quality of older Mountain Hardware products, and don't expect it to be equal in quality to the truly high-quality brands. It is not. It's about the same quality as department store brands. After trying out different Mountain Hardware products the last few years, I've reluctantly come to the conclusion that most Mountain Hardware clothing is now no better quality than stuff you will find in fashion department stores for lower prices. I think that when Columbia Sportswear bought Mountain Hardware in 2013 their vision was to reduce costs of manufacturing to increase profits but still charge the same higher prices for Mountain Hardware products, using the high-quality reputation of Mountain Hardware to justify the high prices. This jacket is the perfect example of this. No better quality than you will find in most department stores or TJ Maxx or Ross or outlet stores like Eddie Bauer. Mountain Hardware has now lost that high-quality reputation, and I won't be buying any more of it. I will stick with higher quality brands. I am 6 feet tall, 157 lbs, have a size 33 waist and 39-inch chest. The size Medium fit me very snugly, almost too small but I wanted a snug fit for layering this underneath an outer ski jacket. This jacket is a bit too thin to be a warm outer jacket in colder (below 30 degrees F) weather.
