Same issue as others - odd fit. billows out at bottom and bit on the long side. nice and lightweight but had to return so can't speak to warmth

I purchased this jacket from STP. I Tried on the jacket and immediately noticed how thin the jacket was. Maybe a little too thin. I usually purchase jackets in a large. I noticed that this jacket was a little too big. Too big to keep. I decided to return it and ordered a marmot caldera. I received it today and it was a little thicker and fit perfectly. I guess my body type fits the marmot cut better.

purchased for my husband, and he loves it. Very warm. Filling is not down, so it won't get ruined in the rain, very washable and light. Not puffy.

Exceeded my expectations. Light weight. Packs into one of the front pockets. Easily stores and doesn't take up too much space. Layers well with my Marmot Gortex rain jacket. A bit loose in the waist, but I know my measurements are a bit odd (45 inch chest and a 34 inch waist) so I blame genetics on this concern. Now my wife wants one!

My grown son wanted a down jacket and so we purchased this one. He has been wearing it constantly as it's the perfect layer for the changing seasons.

Synthetic down is my favorite for hiking. Unfortunately, Most synthetic down jackets are too warm under a technical shell. The Micro Thermostatic is a down sweater vs a outer layer and this jacket weight is perfect in the 40 degree and above and under my rain shell. I am 170 and 5 ft 10 and I wear a medium.

The weight of this jacket is perfect if you are looking for something light for the fall and thin enough to wear a coat over it when it gets really cold. I really liked the jacket, I thought I had finally found the perfect light insulated jacket. I have some expensive down jackets that I opt not to wear if I may damage them so I wanted something that cost less and can handle getting wet.

Unfortunately the fit wasn't right for me. I'm 5'8" 150 pounds with an athletic/thin build. The shoulders and sleeves fit nicely but the length was odd, sort of in between long and short, I would have kept it but the jacket is shaped like a bell, fits nice up top then billows out at the bottom. The fit is perfect for someone who is overweight and struggles with tight fitting jackets and always has to buy a size too big.

I have only had the chance to wear this a couple times. It is a lot thinner than I expected, and very light as a result. I like that it self-stows in a pocket. Reasonably warm as a layer, and would likely dry out okay as it is synthetic. I will probably buy a thicker one next time.
