Very nice boot & very comfortable. I plan to use these for more casual dress rather than a lot of hiking. They run 0.5-1.0 size to small. I usually wear a size 10, but depending on the brand and what I will be using the shoe for, may wear as big a size as 10.5 to give my forefoot a bit more room. I have another pear of timberland shoes that are a 9.5 and they are 0.5-1.0 sizes to big. I went ahead and ordered a 10 in these and they were quite snug so I had to return them for a 10.5 & they fit well, but if I were going to be more aggressive hiking & running in them, would need an 11. Over all my first impression of them is a good quality chukka boot. They run at least 0.5 sizes to small based on the shoes I wear which are Salomon's or LaSportiva's(after converting to US size). They do run narrow in the fore foot, so if you have wide feet these are not for you. I have quite narrow feet so not as big a deal for me.

These boots are nice and stylish. They look good on, but aren't terribly comfortable and seem to put your foot as to stand more toward your toe. You can't get them real tight either due to not having much to lace up. That said, I do like these boots and will keep them for occasional wear.

I wear size 11 in street shoes and 11 1/2 in hiking boots. I ordered these in 11 1/2 and my toe still hit the end of the toe box. I didn't order anything larger but it seemed like a well built shoe, just not for me.

These boots are solid - substantial leather and heavy duty soles but they were comfortable out of the box with no break-in required. I ordered my usual shoe size and the fit was perfect. I plan to order another pair.

Got shoes last week and tested them out that weekend in the mountains in the snow and mud. Great traction and nice and dry. Style makes transition from trail to lodge effortlessly. If you want to hike, choose a shoe with a better lacing. If you want rugged urban chukka boots that will do nicely for light hiking these'll do. Love the vibram soles.

A very good looking boot. These are a little snug. I wear a size 12 med. in 99 percent of all boots and shoes I have ever owned and these fit, but a 12 and a half would have been better. Not too snug to return though. I wore them out and about all day and my feet were not noticeably sore or uncomfortable, but when I took them off later, I noticed. Again, not sore, just acceptable. Having said that, they are good looking and well built, just like other Timberlands I own. I did not try them in wet conditions, they look too good as a casual shoe to wear them hiking. Being a closeout, if they fit a little looser or came in a 12 1/2 I would buy another pair now, they are that sharp.

Wanted a light weight waterproof leather boot for travel to winter destinations and ordered these to compare with an ECCO waterproof ankle boot. I liked them so much I am keeping both pairs. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that the top of the tongue is fabric and not leather. The size is as marked.
