Love these tights!! So comfortable. I wore them walking in 33 degree weather and found them very warm. I would have to say I don't think these would be warm enough when the weather gets colder. Maybe if you were running :) I got a size M after reading the reviews. Fit perfect. I usually wear a small as I am 5' 2" 115, so I size up for sure!

The tights are fine, but I was not happy with the unexpected yellow Smart Wool logo part way down the leg. I had hoped to wear them for more than just outdoor wear, like to a party with a sweater. The logo was bright, big, and conspicuous. I still need tights so I kept them, but I am going to carefully pick out the logo with a seam ripper and hope I don't ruin them.li

These tights are everything I'd want out of a running tight. I also have an earlier version of the tech tight from SmartWool, and these are a definite improvement. The older version was fairly loose around the waist, and through wear, stretched out to the extent that they would sag while I was running in them. These ones have a much more elastic, tight-fitting waistband and also a slightly higher rise, which means that they stay snugly in place at a comfortable location around my natural waist. Also, the combination of stretchy nylon outside and wool inside is great for helping them retain their shape while not getting stinky through multiple wears.

These are awesome tights. I haven't worked out in them yet, but mostly just plan on wearing them as leggings because they are sooooo soft and seem to be quite warm. I'm taking on a trip to Iceland in a few weeks. I am a large+ in most smartwool, however I (mistakenly) ordered a medium and they fit quite well! :)

These tights are warm and cozy wool fleece on the inside, rugged nylon-based stretch knit on the outside. They're soft and cozy enough to lounge in but are built for performance. For running in winter, they seem excellent.

Though I haven't tested them fully yet, I wanted to post now to make a note about the sizing. They do run small. I am usually between a size 6 and 8 in bottoms, but the Large was the best fit in these. The waist band is very firm and the Medium pinched me so much that I felt I wouldn't be able to run. The Large is a little long but I don't mind rolling them up because they are so comfortable and warm. For reference, I have a fairly straight figure. I think SmartWool assumes a pretty dramatic hourglass figure. If you're curvier with a larger waist:hip ratio, you can probably use the size chart as given, but if you are less curvy, size up to accommodate your waist.
