Mavic Aksium Convertible Cycling Jacket (For Men)
Closeouts. Mavic's Aksium Convertible cycling jacket offers maximum versatility for year-round use. Zip-off sleeves make it incredibly easy to convert into a vest in warmer weather, and the Ride Wick Warm fabric blocks wind and repels light rain for those days when a chilly drizzle is in the forecast.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Howell Devine Fan from San Francisco on Wednesday, August 9, 2017As another mentioned, there were spaces in the front of the shoulders where the zippers don't completely meet. To my mind, if it's cold enough to wear this thing, I don't want forward facing holes. I have a Castelli version that's fine, just a different color so I've returned this
Reviewed by Avid roadie from New York on Thursday, February 25, 2016Overall, a very good deal.
Fit is normal, not euro/slim/small and not relaxed.
Fabric: very windproof and not in product description, though an added benefit. Sierra missed this! It may not be quite as good as Gore Windstpper but its very close. Note that the Askium Thermo jacket is not windproof, this convertible model is.
Zip off sleeves have easy to open zippers, but leave a small opening, about 1", in the front (with flap) which may not be ideal given the windproof fabric.
Pockets: center is large/wide, in my view, too large even with a larger smart phone. This leaves remaining real estate for side pockets smaller. More of a concern is the side pockets are angled and NOT deep. The chest pocket is great - Mavic suggests its for smart phone (AND the rear pocket has a headset cable port, so illogical) but with winter gloves, I find it useful for energy food WHILE riding.
Reflective accents are very helpful, and styling is quite good.
