Another great STP buy. This short with padded liner fit true to size and is a nice, quality Fox product. I've been using Fox shorts for years now, and this one really is the best by far. I usually don't use the liners that come with some of these shorts, but I gave these a try on two 30 mile rides and they were very comfortable. The back pocket was big enough to hold my phone ( 6" screen w/ water proof case ) in place and it didn't bounce around or get in the way.

These shorts have a lot of nice features. Knee length, has an inner chamois, has 4 Velcro pockets, and 2 side slash pockets. They have 5 belt loops, normal jeans have 7, but as someone who carries a cell phone, and a leatherman, they are a rare pair of short with belt loops. You can also adjust them if you are prone to weight gain/loss.

I added a sewn in D ring, inside the right side thigh pocket to clip in your keys, so they can't escape when you crash.

A wonderful feature upgrade would be a waterproof pocket big enough to hold a Galaxy S7 or new Iphone, with a waterproof zipper and a little armor so you could fall in the creek, on it, and not crush it

I'd give out 5 stars if they had that.

Knee length, front zipper, inner chamois pad

Pros- 2 front Velcro pockets, 2 slash front pockets, 2 rear Velcro pockets, Has 5 belt loops.

Cons- Needs to add 2 more belt loops, skimpy with only 5 loops, most jeans have 7. I sewed in a D ring Key clip, to hold your keys inside a pocket no matter how awkwardly you crash. A pocket or two with a zipper would be very handy.

Over the top feature request-waterproof zippered pocket, bit enough for a GIANT cell phone, with armor so you would have a bomb proof container for your phone if your caught in the rain, fall in the creek, etc.

These had enough features they won me over. Having belt loops is very rare, and desirable to me. I haul a cell phone case, and a multitool and need the belt. It also makes sure your pants stay up. All those other shorts, keep sliding down over my behind, so I look like a 21 year old slacker.
