Wow. I did my homework, viewed the sizing chart, read the other reviews and ordered a size 14 knowing they run a little baggy. They are still baggy. They are also super, super long (extend past my toes even standing on tip toes), but because they have zippers and such at the bottom, I can't take them to a seamstress to have them taken up (the story of my life).

    These pants say "Athletic fit".
    My Dimensions (American Female):
    Height: 5'3"
    Waist: 35"
    Hips: 45"
    Inseam (Crotch to floor): 30"
I wear a size 31 in Joe's skinny jeans, I wear a size 10 in Michael Koors jeans.

Want to feel short and fat? Try shopping for Ski pants!

The color is a very bright gem turquoise blue. Not at all on the green side. There is only a single snap above the zipper, but a solid slide hook so you don't have to fight getting them snapped.

There are only (2) hand pockets in front, but they are slanted at an angle and have solid zippers. This means that the zippers won't fall down & dump your stuff on the ground, and the pockets won't stick out (girls with hips know what I'm talking about). There are 2 pockets in the back, but they only close with velcro.

There are vents on these pants, at the front of the legs not the crotch. At first I thought they were pockets on the legs, but nope - mesh covered vents. They are fully lined and insulated. The tags say they are water proof & Breathable to 20,000.

Also, the most important part... Nearly every single pair of ski pants I try on with an adjustable waist, has the adjustment INSIDE! It is a real PITA (excuse the pun) to adjust ski pants for my waist. It is trial and error. These pants are the same. I prefer adjustments on the outside of the waistband. Rossingol has the adjustment on the outside waist band.

So, after I made the interior Velcro adjustment as tight as I possibly could to close the huge gap at my waist, they were still baggy. There isn't much adjustment available. It must be why they also have belt loops. Regardless, They are way super long and I can't have them altered because of the zippers at the bottom of the leg openings. These will be a return.

I will give these 4 stars, because if you are tall and you order these 2 sizes smaller than what the sizing chart states - you might be happy with them.

I got these for my wife, an avid skier, athletic 5'5" 125# and fan of Spyder. 27" waist, 37" hips, and the size 4 had an extra 3" in the waist and tons of room for extra junk in the trunk. Per the sizing chart, size 4 should be pushing it on the too-tight side, so I first ordered size 6- no way. Now trying for size 2, and I think they will fit. Wondering what athletes Spyder had in mind by calling these "Athletic fit" in the description... sumo wrestlers???

The fabric has a pleasing look and feel, with a bit of stretch, and if the waterproofness and breathability numbers are real, they will perform great on the hill.
