Reviewed by Pete the perpetual cat 4. from Northern California on Sunday, January 8, 2017I too live in N.Cal. The Gara seem good from low 40's to low 60's. Good for wind and light rain. They do breath well. Be careful about the fit. As most people know, Castelli runs small. My hands are medium-to-large American, but the Gara XL's fit just right.

Reviewed by Sonoma Doug from Nor Cal on Monday, December 12, 2016These gloves are as advertised made for wind and light rain protection while still being somewhat warm down to about 45 degrees. They are well made and the fit is accurate. I do a lot of climbing here in Nor Cal and I don't overheat in them. If your ride is from the 40-65 degree range then these will do the job. I like thinner, liner type gloves like these not too bulky or hot.
