Reviewed by Big wayne from Wyoming/Colorado on Thursday, March 2, 2017These are a great addition to my hunting clothing collection they are very warm but need to be laired they are more of a pant then a bib and are very comfortable and warm. The size is True to fit I ordered the XL and normally where a 36 or 38 and they were a tad big but will work perfectly for me. I must say I have liked them so much I have been using them more for cold weather chores then hunting.
Reviewed by KYGrousehunter44 from Cumberland Plateau on Friday, February 24, 2017I'm not sure to call these "Hunting Pants" but they must be if they are made by Sitka. The only negative I have is that the fabric isn't that quiet (like a taffeta, but from polyester). The fit is about right for fatboy 44 and I ordered the XXL and the length is perfect as I am a 32" inseam.
They are medium grey, like the STP picture. Inside is lined throughout with a very short nap sherpa type fleece in little squares which happens to make these pants extremely warm without being "insulated." The side zips from the waist all the way down. As far as the cooling function goes with open side zips, yes it works and works well, and you are going to need it. All the zips are waterproof type. The elastic suspenders have a no-slip lining of silicone type rubber. These have a built in synthetic 1" webbing belt with quick release buckle of a particular design I have not seen before.
It would have to be real cold out for me to grab these pants for a KY deer hunt. I think they would be more suitable for high altitude mountain hunting, late season sailing, commercial fishing, skiing / snow shoeing, and even operating a snow machine. With a pair of heavy merino long johns underneath, I would not hesitate to include high altitude mountaineering. Arctic combat comes to mind. OK, if you are going to hunt walrus from a cliff face, or Marco Polo sheep in dead center Asia, then these are perfect. If the pants were available in camo, then they would be an instant waterfowl hit. The pants are very well made, heavy duty, very tuff / stout borderline firefighting turnout gear with lots of unique and many modern features. Now I have to book that Marco Polo sheep hunt to justify this purchase.
Reviewed by H to the izzo, V to the izz-a from Tennessee on Tuesday, January 10, 2017I'm 6'1" 275lbs and the XL's fit is very good. I usually wear a 38 to 40 in pants. These might be just a tad big, but that will allow for additional layering. These really are more or less pants and not bibs. They rise slightly in the back and have a belt and suspenders built into them, but they do not rise above the beltline like you would think "bibs" would, at all in the front.
I would like to echo another review that these are very well built and to follow layering recs when using these. Initially when I bought these, I thought how silly, I'll never need these things, but after wearing them deer hunting in sub freezing temps last weekend, I think they might be my favorite pants I've ever owned.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Casey from North Dakota on Thursday, November 17, 20165' 8" 180, large fits great. This bib is built tough. Note, it will keep you warm but you need to follow Sitka recommendations on layering.
