New Balance WT101 Trail Running Shoes (For Women)

Closeouts. The low-profile, lightweight New Balance WT101 trail running shoe gets you down the trail in a hurry, thanks to the Acteva® Lite midsole that's 24-percent lighter than a conventional midsole. The Rock Stop® plate in the forefoot saves weight, too, and also protects your feet from bigger stones and other debris.

I read lightweight but when I saw trail running, I thought they would be more supportive. Their not. They barely have any support and really remind more of racing shoes. The colors are beautiful.

I really liked these, but had to send them back because they run at least a 1/2 size small. I always ordered a 9 in New Balance and they always fit, until I got these. My toes hit the end of the shoe. Otherwise they seem like really nice lightweight trail runners with a good aggressive tread.

I use these for trail walking/hiking. Good fit (went 1/2 size up), light weight and nice looking. Great deal as well!

I know it's hard to compare from one brand to the next when it comes to sizing. These are 1/2 size bigger than the Brooks size 6-1/2 that my daughter has but these NB's are almost 1/2" shorter.

I loved my WT310 trail shoes and hoped these would be comparable. In some ways they are but not completely. They ARE very lightweight and have very little drop from heel to toe. No added padding - you feel your foot on the ground. Those are good things, to me. However, the upper shoe material is much stiffer and less flexible than the 310 and the toe box is less roomy. Finally, although I wear nothing but NB shoes and have ALWAYS worn a 6.5, these seemed a bit shorter than any of my others. Just an FYI - If you are between sizes I'd order the half size up.

The other reviews that say these shoes are too small are spot on. The toe box is quite small, and the ankle collar is pretty high and made of a stiff material. It rubs against my ankle bone and is quite uncomfortable. I usually love New Balance shoes, but will be returning these ones.

This shoe is great for running trails as well as road running. I purchased a 7.5 and it fit true to size. I absolutely love the fit. It is snug and provides great cushion. It also has great ankle and arch support.

I have used and liked New Balance for years. My go-to street/trail running shoe, as well as cross trainer, etc. Thus, I generally am safe to order online, as I know my sizing with them. Unfortunately this shoe felt super narrow and small, compared to what I'm used to with the brand. Not sure if I got an off pair or what. Bummer! But I'll still order New Balance again. :) Just had to return these.
