Zippered boots, great idea, but so many zipper failures. This boot succeeds because the zipper goes up the side rather than down the tongue of the boot. They are a little snug over the ankle at first but this eases up with time, a necessary accommodation I would guess. Grate craftsmanship, materials etc. I am using these more often this winter than my Sorrels, that's how much I like them. No water/snow gets in with this boot. These are not hiking boots, remember they have a zipper, so not adequate for LD hikes

Fit great and easy to get on and off. My husband has been wearing every day since he received them. Very warm and perfect for our winter weather.

I really wanted to keep these boots, but they fit too large around the top of my calf. Why have a zipper if the boot is huge around the top? The foot size is about a 1/2 size small, in other words order 1/2 size larger than your normal size. These seem like well made boots, and I generally really like Lowa boots.

Bought this for my SIL who wanted a taller, waterproof boot. I've never been disappointed in Lowa shoes/boots and these are the same quality they've been putting out for years and years (still made in Slovakia). The brown version is very good-looking, totally waterproof (from what I hear already) and they are easy to get on and off, which to a guy means a lot I guess. The key being, they are warm and look somewhat good enough to wear around town if need be. He wears a 11.5 and I sized up to a 12 to accommodate for thicker wool socks he wears in the winter, they fit him perfectly.

The boots are great and the grip is unbelievable, like high-priced snow tires for your feet, they feel solid. Right now we're having sub-zero temperatures with fierce wind and snow and these boots have been keeping my feet warm and dry. I think the boots look very unique - kind of dressy, yet rugged-looking in a sort of military way. I bought 1/2 size larger as many people recommended, and that's fine with heavy socks, but I think my actual size would've fit perfectly with standard socks. If you plan to wear heavy socks you'll probably be OK with the 1/2 size up.

These boots seems to be well made of quality materials. They tend to run small. I would order a half size up, or a full size up if you are planning to wear thick socks.

Another great product. I am a big fan of Lowa shoes and boots. I have never been disappointed. I own at least a dozen pairs. I would recommend Lowa shoes and boots to anyone. Your feet are not meant for breaking-in shoes, when you try on a pair of new shoes and feels like its been already broken-in, buy it! Every Lowa shoes feels that way, and you end up with a dozen pairs.

These boots have a very comfortable fit (true to size). I wore them in a wet snow for several hrs, my feet stayed warm and dry. I like them a lot!
