Customer Reviews Of:
dylan Spanish Floral Skirt (For Women)

Closeouts. Stunningly feminine and wonderfully flowy, dylan's Spanish Floral skirt features a beautifully printed design in airy, semi-sheer fabric. Pointed handkerchief hems bring a hint of drama, and a smocked back waistband adds stretchy-soft comfort.

Okay, I reviewed this already and talked about the sheerness and bunchy-ness at the waist. But I somehow forgot to mention the ridiculously short length of the entirely useless, sheer and bunchy "liner." The skirt is so sheer that the half-length of the light beige liner--which is only 13 inches long!!--creates an awkward line and confusing color break halfway down to the shortest part of the hem. HOWEVER. I loved the skirt itself so much, I decided to just take matters into my own hands and cut that hiddy liner right on out. It worked. Just wear a regular slip and it looks great. Oh, and bonus! The grey color makes it work with dark tights and a black slip, too.

I have left the tags on this one and am still thinking about it. The style, print and colors are gorgeous, dramatic and slightly funky (as shown), but the fabric is super sheer--so that even the sewn-in lining, which is in the same guauze-y cotton, does virtually nothing for modesty. I'm not too hung up on that sort of thing, but if I keep this I will certainly be wearing another slip underneath. Additionally, the skirt and lining both bunch at the (elasticized) waist, sometimes in different directions, which adds bulk there. (Seamstresses: It's as if they gathered the two layers separately during construction, then sewed them together to the waistband.) Yet somehow the style is so striking I may decide to just work it... It looks better with a top that drapes over the waistband anyway. Hmmm...
