I bought three of these for gifts, I opened all of the packages and they functioned fine, very light, very sharp knife, good kit for every day carry, couldn't beat the price with free shipping.

Always great quality and durability but still one star short of Benchmade

I've been using this knife as my EDC for about a month now, and so far I've been pleased overall. The pocket clip is sturdy (although not removable). When clipped, it sits low in the pocket without protruding, which is great. The knife is very light, but feels sturdy. There is a slight amount of lateral play when the blade is open, but barely noticeable. It feels stable when locked, and the locking mechanism is easy to use one-handed with a little practice. The handle shape feels comfortable in the hand. Also, the factory edge is razor sharp -- cuts through rope and cord like butter. I have had no issues with cutting performance so far.

The only slight disappointment is that the assisted opening mechanism occasionally sticks, preventing the blade from deploying properly. However, this issue has been very rare. I'm going to put a little oil into the hinge to see if that alleviates the problem. It seems more likely to stick if it hasn't been opened in a while. Considering that it does open without a problems the vast majority of the time, I'm willing to overlook this issue for now. Everything else about this knife has been solid. I will update this review if anything else comes up.

Mine arrived in a sealed package, looked nice and had a nice shape. Unfortunately, mine was defective, it did not open or close properly. Totally unacceptable. Returned for full credit.
