Customer Reviews Of:
Head Cyclic 115 Alpine Skis

Closeouts. Head Cyclic 115 alpine skis are a surprisingly nimble fat ski that you can take anywhere on the mountain. Tip and tail rocker along with a low swing weight feel help it excel in deep snow, tight chutes and hardpack.

Confession: I owned the previous version of this ski (Hammered) and it was too short for me (which was my mistake). I could see that the ski really had potential, but for me I had a hard time dialing it in.

STP to the rescue. This ski is the newer, leaner, meaner, lighter, and redesigned version of the Hammered. 115 under foot, 21 m radius (191cm) rockered tip and tail with camber under foot. You can't go wrong if you want a powder/chopped ski that charges in that snow, does very well on groomers to get you back to the lift, and yet is nimble to make great turns. This ski has nice graphics, a textured topsheet, bright fluorescent yellow graphics that are subtle yet nice. I took them out on our second powder day and got compliments. They are great, solid skis for resort skiers who ski big mountain terrain and want rockered powder performance that is not goofy/awkward on groomers/cat tracks/low snow.

As to bindings, I went for the Tyrolia Aattack 16's and they are perfect for this ski. Great handling and great control.

The 115cm underfoot is PLENTY fat enough for most people and gives good float, even when the bindings are mounted at factory setting.

Really can't say enough good things about this great ski.
