Shoes fit too tight. Smaller and more narrow than most Asics.

It's an unusual shoe to start with as it doesn't have a tongue, but I liked the looks. I ordered a 10.5 but received a 10.0. Not only was it too short, but also not wide enough. The two flaps that take the place of the tongue couldn't come together. There's no way the size I requested would have fit either. It may be a fine shoe if you get the right size, but I'll never know.

I think this is my first pair of Asics sneakers, except for a pair of Onitsuka Tiger's. The split tongue was confusing for a minute, since I'd never seen one or knew this model had it. Pretty cool once you're used to it. I've been wearing them at my warehouse job for 4-5 days and I like them. I'm not a runner, but I move quickly and at 190 lbs., they've been comfortable.

These shoes are weird to the point where I wonder if they're defective: they don't have a tongue, so there's a gap where you can see your socks under the laces. If they're not defective, you might consider ordering a really, really wide size for your foot and then the two sides would overlap--but then you'd have a bunch of fabric/padding stacked up under the laces, and that doesn't seem like it would be comfortable. Everything else about the shoe was really nice, and quite comfortable; if it had a tongue, I'd give it 5 stars.
